Laylat al-Qadr (Arabic: لیلة القدر‎) (also known as Shab-e-Qadr), the Night of Destiny, the Night of Decree or Night of Measures, is the anniversary of two very important dates in Islam that occurred in the month of Ramadan. "Qadr" is Arabic for destiny. It is the anniversary of the night Muslims believe the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

Laylat Al-Qadr is the anniversary of the night that the Qur'an says it was revealed. Muslims generally believe that revelation of the Qur'an occurred in two phases, with the first phrase being the revelation in its entirety on Laylat Al-Qadr and then the subsequent verse-by-verse revelation to the Prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel (Jibril in Arabic).

When I read the revelation to the Prophet by the angel Gabriel, I think there are some commonalities as bridges between religions ...
Beautiful panoramic!

I'm not religious, but I absolutely respect everyone who believes in their God. Thankyou for your detailed explanation-the more that we learn about each others beliefs, environments and daily pressures, maybe, just maybe, the world will be a much better place.
